Multiple Email Addresses & All Members optionThe Email upgrades we released at the end of January are performing well and we are ready to release the next batch of updates. The feedback from the last release was very positive. Within this feedback we received overwhelming requests for two email features. We decided to complete development of these features and release them prior to moving on to Automated Email Lists and EBlast features. We are pleased to announce immediate availability of the following upgrades and new features. Multiple Email Addresses Unit members can now have multiple (up to 3) email addresses per member account ! Key components of this upgrade are:
The Member, Roster, and Troopmaster/Packmaster Imports have also been upgraded to support multiple email addresses. You can include multiple email addresses in any email address field by separating them with a semicolon “;” symbol. All Members option for Email Lists A number of customers had been using the Authorized Senders feature and the recent Global Senders feature to provide access to any Email List for ALL unit members. While this certainly worked, these lists had to be manually updated every time a member was added. The new All Members option will automatically allow any email address in a website member account to access Member type Email Lists. When you add/delete accounts or update email addresses for members Email Lists will automatically be updated. Note: This feature does not include Restricted list types, as their authorization should be controlled by the Authorized Senders for the list or the Global Senders. This feature is available from Administration/Email/Settings/Email Lists. Online Help - Email The Online Help section for Email features has been completely rewritten to reflect recent updates and expand the level of information available. You can access this via Administration/Online Help/Features/Email. Do I need to do anything? If you are using Troopmaster/Packmaster imports, you should:
If you have created duplicate website member accounts for multiple email address, you should:
If you have been using Authorized Senders/Global Senders to authorize all unit members for Email Lists, you should:
