Upgrade: Rich Text EditorThis feature is for the Standard and Advanced packages. We tested a number of Rich Text Editors (5 to be exact) to see if it a different editor would provide improved functionality. In the end we found that the TinyMCE editor (tinymce.moxiecode.com) that we currently use for our Rich Text Editor is still the best choice. Based on that we set off to fix a number of identified issues with the current Rich Text Editor. We have upgraded your sites to the latest version of TinyMCE and fixed almost all the formatting issues you may have experienced with the old editor – viewing of content not exactly matching what you see in the editor, line height issues with larger fonts, etc.. You will find that while the new Rich Text Editor looks almost identical, it will “behave” a lot better now. A button has been added to the Rich Text Editor that will insert a “teaser break” into Announcements. When you use this button you will see the division line between the teaser and read more portions of an Announcement. For more information on Announcement teasers go to Admin/Online Help/Features/Announcements. All popup windows from the Rich Text Editor now open within your existing window, i.e. table insert, image insert, etc. This is through a technology called DHTML. This means that popup blockers will no longer block access to the full set of features in the Rich Text Editor. It is also much easier to use when the popup window stays in the front of your screen vs. being a separate window that will sometimes get hidden amongst the other windows you have open. Lastly, a new method for easily using graphics in your content has been added, which will be described hereafter. By soar at 2009-09-03 14:46
