Here are some guidelines for data that resides in your TroopMaster database.
Scouts & Adults
- All names (scout, parent, and adult) must be unique. Use middle initials and suffixes if necessary to make sure all names are unique. Note: some versions of TroopMaster do not export middle initials/suffixes for Adults - use middle initial and suffixes in the Scout record.
- The UserID will be automatically generated as <first name><1st letter middle><last name><suffix>.
- Do not use co-leaders for patrols. Pick one as primary and one as assistant.
- Only current leadership (both scout and adult) should be recorded. If older positions are recorded, they may come through to the Unit Website.
Scouts
- Only the two parents in the "Parents" tab will be used. The "Alt Parent" tab is not used.
- Do not include additional information (such as leader name) in the Den or Patrol fields. This information will automatically be added to the Roster during import.
- Address information is pulled from the 1st parent. Address information in the Scout record is not used.
Adults
- If creating adult records, make sure they are linked to the scout record.
