Email Lists

Email Lists are an easy and effective method for communicating with your unit members.

Email Lists can be used to create a single email address such that will forward email to multiple unit members at the same time. You can create lists to communicate with all unit members at once and also create lists to communicate with subgroups within your unit. Examples are:

  • announce@troop123.com
  • leaders@pack456.mypack.us
  • den7@pack456.org
  • otter@troop123.mytroop.us - for the Otter Patrol

Email Lists protect unit members from SPAM by only allowing authorized unit members to send email to the list. A variety of options are availablefor determining who is authorized to send email to an Email List.

Email Lists simplify the management of unit member email addresses by providing ONE central place to update email addresses that all unit members can have access to. Once users have been added to the unit website (manually or imported, active or inactive) they can be added to an Email List. If the unit member's email address changes, simply use the User Management function to change their email address. Presto, their email address is changed in Email Lists and other Email functions automatically.
